Re: [Vonage] SIP credentials, RTP300, GPP_K? said by KillaB7:3.1.24-NA is out (3.1.22 Voice) I've loaded it on my WRTP54G after modifying the usual header and checksum. Still no SecureRTP like in the Sipura/PAP2's. What gives Linksys? My RTP300 is running 1.00.62-NA and I tried the FW upgrade to 3.1.24 but got invalid code pattern. Any ideas why? -- "A religious war is like children fighting over who has the strongest imaginary friend."

KillaB7 join:2006-05-23 Vancouver, BC 2 edits | For a Vonage RTP300 you need to find and change CYLM to CYLL (4D to 4C at position 17h). Also, the calculated checksum at the end of the firmware needs to be changed from "85 DA 20 BB" to "3B A5 4D DA".
For a Vonage WRTP54G you need to change CYWM to CYWL (4D to 4C at position 17h). Also, the calculated checksum at the end of the firmware needs to be changed from "71 FB 16 5F" to "CF 84 7B 3E".
If you want to know how to do this yourself for future firmware releases I suggest you download a GPL source tarball and learn how to compile tichksum using something like Cygwin. I would also recommend MinGW but for some reason it calculates wrong checksums for me. »www.seattlewireless.net/DlinkDsl···db35ab37 |

Re: Getting a WRTp54G to take 3.1.17-NA... Hello, Rcilink.
I have a VTech IP8100, like WRTP54G and RTP300, it runs a TI AR7 platform. Does this mean that IP8a00 can also take the advantage of firmware like 1.00.62-NA and 3.1.17-NA ? |

Re: [Vonage] SIP credentials, RTP300, GPP_K? thanks for the info - I edited the firmware on 3.1.24 and it worked great. I'm attaching it for anybody who's afraid of hex editing. It's for former Vonage RTP300's. |

 | I have been reading page after page of this post and I am truly impressed with you guys and what you have done to allow us to freely use the RTP300, but, I am also very confused trying to follow the steps to free up the unit. Could someone point me to a location where I could obtain the latest "NA" firmware and step by step instructions on how to apply it to a Vonage RTP300? |

AFAIC, you should not do this on your RTP300 which is still served by Vonage. Doing so will cause your service to an earlier termination by Vonage. If your RTP300 device is no longer used with a Vonage service, then follow the links in this post to find out how to achieve what you want. Good luck. |
