Goto File/New - set the dimensions to 400x400.

Place a guide rule at 200, done by dragging one from the guide area on the left hand side, then placing at position 200(watch the top guide for placement).

Goto rectangle tool and change it to eclipse tool, place an eclipse in your scene, look at the bottom and change its dimensions to 300x300, and its XY to 50 - 50, and any colour you like ...

If your happy with the 1st part i`ll carry on when your ready ...

Take the knife tool as shown in the earlier image, and place it on the guide line above your eclipse, then slice right through it, which should leave you with two semi-circles, delete the right hand one by highlighting it and hitting delete.

Create another eclipse with dimensions of 150x150 and place it at 150 - 150 and placement of XY 125 - 50, copy and paste that eclipse and move it one side for the moment.

Now highlight the semi-circle and the 150x150 circle to-gether, do this by holding shift and clicking the two vectors.

Goto Modify/Combine paths/Union, which will join the two to-gether.

Now take the circle that you placed to one side and place it at 125 - 200.

Now highlight those two and goto Modify/Combine Paths/Punch.

More to follow, when you ready .

You should now have something like this ...

You should now have a shape similar to the one i posted above, so we`ll carry on.

Create an eclipse with dimensions of 100x100 and placement of 150 - 75.

Highlight the two vectors and goto Modify/Combine Paths/Punch, which will punch a hole in the underlying vector.

Now you need to Copy/Paste the vector and highlight one of them, then goto Modify/Transform/Flip Vertical and the same again but this time flip Horizon, now place this vector at position 125 - 50.

Now change one of them to black and the other white, and alter the canvas colour, canvas colour is altered by clicking outside the image and the selection area is at the bottom.

Which should give you something like this ...
