Both parties say what we want to hear and they do what the big money tells them. Some how it has to change. My vote doesnt mount to much these days. |

I am a liberal, but in this presidential election, I didn't like any of the candidates. In the end, when all the dems were upset, I asked myself, "What is going to change?" The answer was nothing. If Kerry was elected, the same things probably would have happened. You are right. Big money tells the candidates what to do and they do it. Doesn't matter if you are conservative or liberal. When companies come calling bearing money, candidates and politicians listen.

Wheeling, IL | The answer was nothing. If Kerry was elected, the same things probably would have happened. Ironically, this is because the once-polarizing forces separating the fundamentals of the two majority parties have drifted alarmingly close to each other, due to overwhelming desire to "appeal to the majority/masses." The result is that we basically are voting for one party, with a few minor cosmetic differences.
However, this doesn't really make anyone very happy (and is horribly bad for the gov't structure), and I'd suspect we'll have another split (again) in the not so distant future. |

| My split will go to the independents for now on. I cant give my vote to either worthless parties. If they where doing there jobs correctly. We wouldn't be in the mess we are in today. It is time for some kind of change! |
