thats not a valid result as its loading from the browser cache.

That and DSL maxes at a sync of around 8192kbps.

So... yea...

debunked.

Ok, its time for you to stop replying, because your statements are incorrect and i can say with a certainty that you are now pulling stuff out your butt.

So, if you want to be helpful to this already overloaded thread, then stop wasting your time and others by posting false facts.

If in fact you are truly getting this speed, then you do not have DSL from SBC and some different service, in which case, you are in the wrong thread and still wasting your time.

My Elite (from Pro) upgrade went into effect a week ago.

I now have the speed that's advertised. Connection has been stable and fast. Thank you SBC/AT&T!!

Afternoon:

It's pretty easy to spoof CNet's bandwidth test program. All you have to do is change the last few digits in the address bar to whatever speed you'd like to display on the chart.

=)

So, I doubt you have a downstream faster than a T3.

If you call them they wont give you elite unless you bundle but if you do it on line they say nothing about any bundle. If you have the money get road runner! At@t tech staff sucks.

My new speeds started showing up yesterday, but only the upload speeds were effectively upgraded (640kbps average). My download speeds actually went down for around 900kbps...

Was upgraded to Elite service this morning (on schedule). Speed reading is from SpeakEasy test site.
