 | reply to nixen Except in this instance, there is also a Republican majority in Congress, which means anything the current administration wants, they get. We need to have a Democratic president and Republican Congress, or vice versa. |

 | reply to rudnicke said by rudnicke:I'm really starting to rue the day I voted republican. We should impeach this jerk in the whitehouse. It's high time to impeach every politician from both sides of the aisle.Give all of them a good bytch slappin' to local, state and federal levels of government during the up coming elections. If that approach doesn't work (voting) then it's time for the American people to examine there remaining options.
Then take whatever one of those options, put a stop to and end this fucking bullshit, once and for all. These Nazi tactics has gone on long enough and must stop HERE AND NOW.
If the people of this Nation can't see the tyranny these assholes are pushing down the throats of the working stiffs, then they never will for fucks sake.
Sadly we will get what we deserve for ignoring this Nazism regime. It's like this, if the politicians are not for the American people, then they are evidently against us.One can plainly see the direction they are leaning on this issue.I think I'm going to run for Presidential office next election to straighten this mess they created out.I love my country and hate to see these prostitutes in office flush it down the drain,as they are doing./rant off -- Bass....the glue of rhythm and harmony...the heartbeat of the band.! Yes Just like the democrats had for 40 years after WW 2. The period we watched our country go to hell in a handbasket, thanks to the liberals.
Now, you want to whine because your heroes are out of power because, basically, the american people got sick of being lied to all the time, (never mind fear mongering) especially in election years and having their civil rights and property rights whittled away at by pressure groups, lobbyists for same and eco nuts.
What? You think either party is any different from each other? Politics is nothing but a power game and they are ALL basically the same: Rich lawyers and businessmen who have connections with the power elite. NONE of those people really believe much, if any, of the crap they feed us, democrat or republican. It's just a strategy to convince us they are nice people who love us and feel our pain. And, anyone with half a brain, swimming in the shark infested waters of todays society KNOWS that you dont get to a place of power by being a loveable fuzzball and being nice. You get there by being one of the sharks and eating opponents. It's just common sense. If you fall for the crap they hand you, you deserve to get stepped on. And they WILL step on you.
Yet, in the end, any law that is enacted is NEVER in OUR best interests. Only theirs. Ours is just to obey and pay. |

Froofy and feel good legislation that will certainly come back to bite us all in the ass, sooner or later. |

Re: Government I see plenty of muslims being detained though, a lot of whose terror involvement is questionable. I am to some extent being fasicous here as were you I hope, but the point was the policies are fascist. |
|
 | reply to stickstickly Wrong. Basically nothing is getting done because neither side has a strong majority. Just because the republicrats have a small majority doesn't mean it's easy sailing for them.
Personally, I agree with the guy who said it was two sides of the same rotten coin. They ALL need to be replaced. |

What you fail to understand Is that they are too buisy chasing the "American dream" that they, as well as many here, have been indoctrinated and brainwashed into believing.
It amounts to:
Graduate from high school and attend college or university to learn how to and, be indoctrinated in, corporate ass kissing (which is what the degree is. A certification that you will kiss the bosses ass and not rock the boat. You are trustworthy), marry early and have a baby (or two, or three...) to seal the deal while you (hopefully) get get a job working for a corporation, or, the government and, get a 30 year mortgage so you have to continue working, never mind that you will pay 200% interest on that mortgage over 30 years, because, in the first years, you are basically paying interest and interest on the interest because very little of your payment goes toward principal.
They get theirs up front, which is why you will never "Get ahead", except for a fluke like winning the lottery (and even that they will rip you off for taxes). You build a load of debt that you carry around for the rest of your life, enforced by peer pressure, because you cant be an "upstanding" citizen unless you pay your bills, no matter what, right? And, if you dont pay your bills, what do they do? Destroy your credit rating to punish you and keep you down. You have become untrustworthy and, therefore, scum.. You only get one chance at the game. Screw up in any manner and you are done.
Once you have your degree, cushy job and house, you just blythely cruise along, doing what society says is right (approved), not rocking the boat or complaining, getting along with your neighbors, paying your taxes on your house (another ongoing ripoff) and be a "Upstanding" Joe box of rocks.
Untill they use emminent domain to take your house from you at less than market value for one of their buddies, or, take it away because you couldn't pay your taxes. Or...
That's right, pilgrim. You paid for 30 years and were Joe "upstanding" citizen, then, one year, you couldn't pay $1,000 in property taxes and they took it ALL away from you. And guess who got it at the auction, free and clear for that $1,000? Why, a rich real estate speculator. That deed you have and hold so precious isn't worth the paper it's written on. You only own the property IF you keep paying the taxes and dont get your "upstanding" ass sued off.
Suckers. |
|
 | Uh, so what exactly are you trying to say with all that? I have to disagree with your opinion of the institutions of higher learning as well. |
|
 | reply to Fatal Vector said by Fatal Vector:You only own the property IF you keep paying the taxes and dont get your "upstanding" ass sued off. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Property taxes are fascist. You're taxed on the money when you earn it. You're taxed when you spend it. You're taxed a third time just to keep the stuff you bought. Then, if you managed to keep any of your money, it will be taken from your kids when you die. Oh, and don't forget all the 'extra' taxes you're paying along the way, like gas tax, alcohol tax, etc. -- If Darwin was right and evolution really works, why are there so many stupid people out there? |

Basically its not which party, etc, etc. Its our government in general. We do need to start with a clean slate, but even then we aren't guaranteed any difference. We just need people in power who know good wholesome people and who listen to constituents. You can't tell me someone has "good" ethics/morals and at the same time they take 'bribes' from big business, etc. |
