Go to »www.levinecentral.com/IE7/ and click on the link near the bottom that says IE7_File_Menu_Top.reg and when prompted by IE, select Run and then click on Yes and you should be all set. Close IE and re-launch it and it should be there.

You did go to "Tools" > "Toolbars" > "Customize" ? to show the ieSpell button ?

I am using ieSpell 2.5.0.185 and the button shows,I also see "send to desktop" and the mail options which are under "Page"

You might want to try to re-install ieSpell and see if it shows,if not go to "Tools" > "Internet Options" > "Programs" tab > "Manage Add-Ons" and make sure that the ieSpell .dll is "loaded" and "enabled"

My beef is trying to get the "Trusted Sites" and "Restricted Sites" button to show,they did previously in the beta but I can't get them to show in the final release,the links is there under "tools" but I want my buttons :mad:

I moved the Menu Bar to the top using TOOLBAR.REG, as suggeted above. Under that is my Address Bar (or is it called the Location Bar?).

Also, I modified the Command Bar so that it only has the 2 leftmost icons on it, although I wish I could get rid of it altogether.

I'm not sure if I understand how it was discussed in the posts above, but is there any way to remove the Command Bar? I tried right-clicking on the grey area, but there's no Command Bar listed.

Any suggestions?

Well, this may be a YMMV thing, but when I tried to remove all the icons from the bar, the default set came back the next time I opened up IE7. You can read more about what I noticed (and a few screen shots as well), in this post.

Funny thing though. If you have the Menu Bar at the top and then click on the History pull down menu from the arrow next to the forward and back button the Menu Bar reverts to the bottom. Although this seems temporary as when you close the History menu it will revert to the top.

If you unlock the toolbars, you can slide the whole set of toolbar icons over the right. They are still accessible by using the >> icon which is there.

Another option appears to be if you right click the toolbar and select Customize Command Bar and then Add or Remove commands, you can pull some or all off.

IMHO, with the tabs, adding the menu bar takes up too much of the browsing window. Also, many of the things on the menu bar are replaced elsewhere, kind of making it repetitious. For example, notice that now the printer icon on the command bar has an arrow next to it that lets you do what the file/print..page setup etc. used to do on the menu instead of just printing the whole page.
The tools icon on the command bar also replaces what the menu has and really, the only other thing I used to use the menu for was the favorites, which is accessible by clicking the star next to the tabs.

Once in a while I'd use the edit/search feature on the old menu bar but that wasn't a regular thing and probably doesn't need to be so accessible.

And, anytime u want the old menu, it's just a click away anyway.

I understand that we all get used to things a certain way and I think the first thing I was trying to do was drag the search bar down below the tabs and get the menu back. But this IS something new and worth considering how what I used to do can now be done another way and streamlined a bit.

The tabs are also going to take me some getting used to but they make a lot more sense than having windows all over the place as I would have before.

All in all I'm going to reserve my opinion and try it out for a while and just get used to it. But, I do think the menu bar will wind up being like a floppy disk drive for me, and something that I'll never really miss or use much anymore.

I still do not understand why Microsoft wont change this. I mean almost everyone once those buttons on top like it is in every other browser.
I think it flows with Aero glass a little better.

Now what I really want is something that can put the Stop/Refresh back where they belong. I don't think it will be long before full UI customizations are back. Though it might need Power Toys vista.
