I jumped ship to $14.95 the first week. Got up and running in a week or so. Honestly other than some large 2 meg pictures posted here in the digital imaging forum I see no slowness. The VZ newsgroups are not capped at dial up speed like OOL either. I was one of those lucky OOL customers who got 1meg speeds instead of the 5 or 7 megs advertized.
I will get FIOS the first week it is available and switch my two phone lines to VOIP. Save $70 on the phone bill and up my internet charge from $15 to $35 is not a bad deal.

There is no question that it was a brilliant piece of marketing! In fact, one of the better marketing moves I have seen in a long while. -- Now THATS superfluous!!
