Why not just time limited downloads and skip the DRM crap?

I think most would be happy spending a buck or 2 on a movie that was just time limited, let you burn it to DVD with same time limit, etc. The movie expires say in 6 months regardless who has it or whatever.

Paying cheap price for a time limit is reasonable, but restricting its use more than that is not. All imo of course..

then again some would be happy if they could watch it for free... YES i said FREE. whats the catch?
