i hate commercial
i hate ads
They are annoying
Why do some think they have a right to spam people
Yet most tolerate this kind of bs?
I think it is a good thing that some people find it annoying and are resisting it. I think that spammers have nothing better to do with their time then make life hell for others.

Why some pay others to get rid of spyware is beyond me. I guess the whole ideas is to annoy people and if ya wanna it removed temporarily, ya gotta pay them.

What a scam.

It's really quite simple. The message from the entertainment industry to the consumer is this:

"We think you're an IDIOT. In fact we are BANKING on it."

On general principle, I try to avoid any products as ridiculous as the one mentioned in the above article.

They also think all consumers are potential "pirates"
right from the get-go, by putting onerous DRM into
whatever they are offering.

Is it just me or does it seem like the most hardcore pirates are the ones least inconvenienced by protections?

I bet that in order to have this overpriced download "at your convenience, you will be required to play back the title with proprietary software (which will have some annoying features that cannot be configured) and will have to surrender all sorts of personal data to "third parties" EVERY time you want to play the title. Yeah AND the movie will require an internet connection to authenticate for playing, thereby making portable playback a hideous hassle.
