But the fix was major enough they gave it the 1.03 name instead. Plus any with the beta 1.02 ver, cam would see it as an update.

May have been new, but it was well out of production then, replaced by the K5 and Kx/r's.

Checked my 20D and it is 1.04, the update file on my HDD is dated OOOPPPS..... have all three updates and looked at wrong one but 1.04 is still dated 4/23/2010 over a year and a half ago.

And think there was no 1.02. Pentax site lists 1.00, 1.01, 1.03 as vers the most recent 1.04 updates, which correspond the the 3 update update files I have.

This update has been around since 2008 and posted here then, you ought to check more often ;)

Went to download it, and said do you want to overwrite.... then looked and file date was 2008.

And that is something I do with software driven hardware I get that is out a while right off is check for up dates right away.

ASUS Transformer Tab hasn't been out all that long but out of the box, had two available firmware updates to take it from Android 3.1 to 3.2 and a device specific update.

And heck a year into Win 7 new laptop had an hour+ of updating to do even on broadband.

Pentax K20D firmware 1.04 - fixes SD card Write errors

EGeezer posted : I suddenly started having problems with write errors when I bought new 8 and 16GB class 6 and 10 cards. I could take about 25 RAW file photos then write errors solid fail. I returned the cards, got new ones (Kingston and SANDisk) but the problem persisted.

"Bleah" says I, thinking that I'd have to call Pentax for warranty service and be without the camera for several weeks.

Fortunately, I read a Pentax forum post on the same problem that linked to the fix. After I installed v 1.04, the problem went away. :)

Thanks for that link Rufus. Until you posted that link I could never figured out how to check for the latest version of Dynamic. :)

I now have that link bookmarked. Funny thing If I go to directly through their site I cannot get there. It's like they have it hidden someplace.

OK I found it. I guess the only way to get there is if Dynamic is open and you check for new version. :p
