People need to relax. Verizon will continue to build out EVERYWHERE. They arent gonna STOP their build-out. It costs them an insane amount of money to maintain their copper network. There is little or no maintance when it comes to fiber. It will be profitable for them to change EVERYONE to fiber eventually. Especially since fiber costs are dropping at an incredible rate. Youre time will come.

One problem with your theory. My area of Ocean County was wired with fiber years ago. We have fiber to the pole throughout the this area of Ocean County. This fiber, however isn't the kind that supports FIOS. By your theory, it could be ten, twenty, or thirty years before they will rewire this area again. -- Whatever doesn't kill us, makes us stronger...
