Stepford, CA | Idiocy This is a useless idea with a dopey lawsuit on top of it. I would rather store programs on my own media instead of the cable company's since who knows what they'll do with that information. Perhaps one day the NSA will be sifting through the reams of programs and have orders from Der Fuhrer that anyone caught recording a program about Da Vinci is now an enemy combatant. Or any other numerous ridiculous ideas as may be proclaimed by our imperial, self-appointed, Mr. 29% monarch.
The only thing either side is proving in this matter is the willingness to pay legal fees for no apparent reason.
