Can they shut child porn in the united states, sure. Can they do it worldwide, no.

The internet is just that, it only takes one server to host it and it's accessed around the world. They plan to invade every country to remove these criminals? Not likely. So this is pointless.

As much as you want to censorship the internet you shall fail.

I'm going to start this off by saying that I don't agree with this plan of the government. I will say though, that the excuse of "we can't stop it everywhere, so why bother at all" is kind of disturbing.

However, I can imagine that their thinking is something along these lines (with respect to child porn, assuming that this isn't some plan to just potentially keep tabs on everything we look up online).

"sure, you can't shut down childporn outside of the us, but depending on the country identifying sites will allow us to pressure their governments to do something about it. furthermore, if we identify people in the usa who are viewing this material, it will allow us to go after them as well."

When is enough, enough. With all the info that is easy attainable, they want to fully just throw away our entire right to privacy from the gov't.

i think i'm gonna have to re-think my republican party membership.

hmmm.......

"If you have done nothing wrong, nothing to hide, what's your gripe?....remember, it's about the children....and by the way we want to borrow your house, your car, check your bank account ,see how you vote, who you email etc"

..........Is it me or are we taking a quantum leap backwards in civil liberties under some bs guise....child welfare, securitie, etc.....There are a lot of ignorant people who buy into this crap.....Didn't we just spend over a half century fighting this crap......?

It is the Government's point-of-view that it is better for 10,000 innocent people to die than for one guilty person to go free...

Neither do I.

"we can't stop it everywhere, so why bother at all"

It is disturbing but that's reality, what I was trying to say was not for the US to ignore it. But that if they want to to make it work they shall need to work with every country and basically make it a crime to have child porn and to host it for that matter.

That country should force the ISP to remove the content and if they refuse to do so they shall be criminalized. They should then pass the persons name who owns the server or the connection and they shall be held in court for there actions in there own country.

But more importantly is to get those sick bastards out of the street's and away from children.

Re: hmmm.......

So vote for Constitution Party Candidate in next election. They are FOR the constitution, and protecting the freedoms that our forefathers originally intended for us to have. They are also VERY anti U.N., which is a HUGE waste of US taxpayer dollars!

Re: _

I rethought mine! In California we have the ability to register without declaring a political party. It is called registering as a nonpartisan. I vote for candidates not parties!
