Re: What idiocy. Must be nice to be able to go jogging, huh?
If you were smart, you would get a small armband player for jogging instead of a freakin iPod!
If you can't live for a few hours without your precious music, have at it!
When I'm sitting somewhere, I'm not limited to music. I can do anything there that I can do here. Games, DVDs, music, surfing the web, HD pr0n...
Music is overrated(where did I hear that?). Todays music blows! No offense, but the iPod is an Apple. Apple sucks! Many other specialized players out there, by other mfgrs, that would fill the music need for whatever activity better than an iPod. For less cash as well! Even the iPod earbuds(from what I've read) suck!
As I stated, for now, *I* will stick with my laptop(s). You do whatever *YOU* choose! Even if that is to get burned for an iPod!
This new Microsoft player, if that what it truly is, will sooner get my money spent on it than anything from Apple!

Cram everything you mentioned into yet another copycat, low quality, ineptly designed, generic device with yet another poorly thought out, non-intuitive control interface and it will still fail laughably against the iPod.
Imagine the crappy Dell mp3 player but with user-changeable battery, hard drive, and OS, and open to accepting any flavor of digital music with and without DRM, and you'll still have a loser on your hands. Mark my words. Funny thing is Apple didn't create the first portable HD mp3 players, so you can't really call other companies copying Apple. I have a Creative Zen Touch and I can tell you the audio is superior to my daughter's Nano and my wife's Micro. While the controls on the iPod are marginally better my mp3 player's control set up is very intuitive. Sure Dell's player sucked, but they aren't the only ones in the game. Another killer player is the iRiver, which is the best sounding mp3 player in the market.
The iPod has popularity and a lot of accessories are made for it, but the best player out there? Not really. It's good, but not the best for the money. | | ecoPremium join:2001-11-28 Wilmington, DE | reply to Jigsaw That's in the UK, and it's not legal. We're discussing legal places.
