 | The iPod killer has long been available...

The Arhos AV series has been an iPod killer for a few years now. Unfortunately, the marketing team (at least here in the states) is non-existent.
100GB HDD, nice and slim, plays all audio and video formats (as well as photos) and also doubles as a portable DVR (you can record from your TV)
I have one and LOVE it. |

| WOW, now that is cool
WTF is their marketing team doing? I have never heard of this device.
Quite frankly I think the I-pos is an over priced status symbol for teenagers (look at me I am cool, I/my parents can spend $300 on an MP3 player)
But Microsoft designing a i-pod killer? Don't make me laugh |

At $500-550 range for 100gb model it simply has no chance of winning that fight. Even 30gb AV 500 costs around $400-450. Now if it was $299, then we would of had an instant winner due to vast feature advantage over iPod.
Now, iPod Nano is a different story... It's hard to beat that, although out of all manufacturers SanDisk with their Sansa E260 might have done it. |

 | reply to Chodite Its not the marketing team, its the price and portability. The Ipod isn't as large as the device you speak.
The only real place that carries these things is CompUSA (at least in VA).
Best Buy and Circuit City (at least the ones I've been to) do not carry this item.
As for this article...what a waste of time to post. Its complete conjecture as to what that image is. I could say its a box of candy with an overlay from photoshop. |
