AlphaCentaur | GTE ben vedy vedy good to me!! Although I have a different ISP, LINKLINE...
I've made 2 service calls to GTE for problems..
The first, you won't believe unless you read this MY REVIEW
The review is actually about my ISP, LINKLINE, but includes
a service call from GTE. Both get gold 
The second call, 10 seconds on hold, they scheduled a visit
on a Saturday, at my convenience. I didn't even have to
place the official service call..they did it for me!!
Before even knocking n my door, the GTE tech had found a
little filter, about the size of a book of matches,
connected in series on my line....had removed it, cleaned
and tightened connections.
He knocked, came in...offered another modem, although said
I probably wouldn't need it..
Came back here to DSLR...Speed Test 721/120 of 768/128...
GTE....YOU get an A+
I read somewhere that it takes a company something like
20 good reviews to live down 1 bad one.... If they have
a good one coming....don't forget to give it to them.
Nobody remembers the GOOD reviews!! Thanks GTE

| I'll second that, regarding GTE's TELCO service. The Telco folks, especially the local installer, have been FANTASTIC and very knowledgeable.
I get REALLY good line tests to the central office, and the service has been rock solid.
Of course, I'm stuck (for the moment) with GTE/Verizon as an ISP, and if the Telco portion is a 10, the ISP portion is somewhere around a negative eight (-8) or so...
I'm hoping LinkLine or one of the other ISPs is servicing my area now (I've put in an inquiry).

I couldn't agree more sofaking. I've had GREAT service from the folks on the GTE telco side of the business. I have Verizon as an ISP and had several issues to resolve. The telco folks have been wonderful. I'll save my comments on the ISP tech support because I don't want to taint this post!

GTE is very good here in Bothell, WA! I don't have their DSL service(yet, I ordered though), but they had to remove a load coil for my DSL that doesn't work(because of the ISP), and they did it in LESS time than the ISP said!
