Because law enforcement may want to tap LOCAL LAN traffic while pursuing a criminal. And AT&T or Qwest or whoever wouldn't see traffic contained within the university lans. Then all that money I spent on installing wiretapping equipment for the government to "listen" to Habib's conversation to Abdul in Pakistan is wasted anyway, since the traffic is encrypted...<br><br>Either way, the government should pay the costs if that's what they choose to mandate..]]></description>
