Team Helix is pleased to welcome the addition of the BOINC Rosetta@Home project and its members. Helix is presented with an excellent opportunity to grow into and with the BOINC platform by adopting an already established project with a significant base of interest.

Rosetta@Home is a protein structure prediction project that runs on the BOINC platform. Rosetta@Home is not a duplication of the Folding@Home effort, but may someday greatly compliment Folding@Home.

The Rosetta@Home project offers an alternative to folks who would like to be involved with Team Helix, but choose to run on the BOINC platform. It also allows current FAH contributors another project to branch out to, and the BOINC platform may handle some older machines that will no longer handle the larger demands of the timed Folding@Home units.
