Re: Wood That's a great site for textures, caff. Thanks so much for the link - it's in my art links now.
Would you mind doing a tutorial on the last one you did, caff, for the archives? It really is deserving of being kept - just great work. | | caffeinatorComing soon to a cup near you..Premium join:2005-01-16 WA, USA kudos:3 Reviews:

| That's a great site for textures, caff. Thanks so much for the link - it's in my art links now. Hey, glad you like it. I was going to post it to the links thread, but I got a warning that it was already in the Imaging Links..weird, eh?

*bows*
I'd be happy to do one, the problem is I tend to do stuff using the "seat-of-pants" method. Meaning, I couldn't really put together exactly how I did it in a linear fashion because I don't know all the steps.
I'll post the .PSD, which might be horridly confusing..lol Also, the two celtic fonts I used to make the designs with, as you'd need them for the PSD anyways. I can't recall if textures are embedded in the PSD or not, if there is an error about them missing, they are all from the wood's section of that same link.
There's some things I did that aren't in the layer styles, such as the bevel on the background that was done with Eye Candy 5 Impact's Bevel tool, but I think most of it is.
Probably not until tomorrow, but I can try to put together the basic steps I used though, minus the mondo experimenting parts.

1 edit | That's either a very bad pic of a woman dressed for that sort of thing, or a very ugly woman dressed for that sort of thing, or it's a dude dressed for that sort of thing.
You have a deviate mind, caff.
Hey, I know what: go over to Team Helix forum and check it out - once you check it out you'll love it, and the people in it, and how you can help cure terrible diseases by just letting your computer use the spare CPU cycles you don't use for other things to run the Folding@Home client. It will make you feel great you're helping out to find cures and treatments for these terrible diseases, and maybe stop you from being so twisted in the head. (You know I'm teasing here, except about really checking out the TH forum. ) -- Some people think they gain through dishonest means, never realizing that in lying, cheating, and other dishonesty, they are losing pieces of themselves, which they can never recover. Actually, I probably could, but I disconnect the DSL and put the box to standby when I'm not using it. (using DUN for DSL)

| Oh, you do - every computer does, and we have some people even running old P2's. Really, check it out, you'll love the forum, and any and all questions about how it affects the performance of your computer will be answered, but the simple fact is, it really doesn't; it gives first place to the programs and services you have running, and only when there are CPU cycles not being used does it run them (sounding like yoda, I am ). -- Some people think they gain through dishonest means, never realizing that in lying, cheating, and other dishonesty, they are losing pieces of themselves, which they can never recover.
