If you're on Comcast, they advertise 6Mbps average high-speed internet bandwidth on downloads, with the ability to burst download up to 16Mpbs short term. Until someone re-invents the entire signal conditioning system whereby high-speed "sneak-along" digital data is modulated with digitzed tv sigs, I'm not sure that constant speeds above 8 Mpbs will be a reality. I'd like to be proven wrong, since I too would benefit.
