The Fed gives all these giant telco's and cable companies HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of dollars in funding and breaks. Has since the 90's all in the vain hope they will provide universal access. Instead it's all been spent on big cities and subsidizing their bottom line, while many areas still have nothing more than dialup.
