Seti, Einstein, Rosetta and Malaria. So far, I've not experienced any past due deadline work units.

But...

I keep a pretty close eye on my little fleet, watching for the occasional "stuck" work unit. If a restart of boinc doesn't clear the problem, I abort the work unit.

I had malaria on a very fast machine, decided to move it over to another project, then load Malaria on another rig. I had set it to no new work last Thursday, Saturday I saw it still had 50 wu's lwft, all with deadlines within the next hour. I just detached from Malaria and switched the box over to another project.

Pretty dissapointing, to say the least....

The next version will work a little better instead of going into true EDF mode tasks with deadline problems will get more CPU time. I don't think we managed to convince JM7 that EDF is better than FIFO before deadline problems start though.

Needless to say, none of those results made it in. I have always trusted BOINC's ability to deal with deadlines, till now. Has anyone else seen this behavior?
