ADSL2 bonds two pairs (because usually every house has one live pair and one unused pair running to their home). All this does is lower the line quality problems with long distance, so those close to the CO can get higher speeds and those far away can get speeds better than before. Those really far away are still limited by the laws of physics, so unless a Remote Terminal is put in close by, they are still out of luck. |
