Whatever

This isn't exciting news... correct me if I'm wrong but ADSL2+ still has a 1Mbps upload limit.

EDIT: Spelling lessons needed =p.

What sucks is this:

I am at 4400 feet from CO and Covad is in the CO as well as Verizon and others (dont know who)

We have RCN fiber to the basement and Time Warner Cable as well available.

RCN is 10MBPS/800k. If Covad did ADSL2+ at 18MBPS or 24MBPS (due to distance I should be in range for one of those 2 options, not sure if 24MBPS can handle 4400 feet, so it could be 18MBPS) I would switch over depending of course on price. Service availability is a definite due to distance.

I was waiting for Verizon FIOS but that doesnt appear to be happening so ADSL2+ seems like a perfect stopgap measure till FIOS gets here or till another product comes into the marketplace.
