What happens when you use too much?

Do they cancel your account? Seems like an easy way to get out of a contract... hmmmmm.

Word is that they cancel the contract and charge the $175 Early Termination Fee.

Doesn't seem like they'd have a leg to stand on. They'd have to be able to say that you violated a specific part of the contract; as I understand it the contracts do not define what excessive bandwidth is and until they do this is a big loophole.

·Verizon Wireless..

I was terminated for excessive usage for our business account. Their claim was 100 gigs a month. They closed the account on Monday June 12th and did not charge the early termination fee. They terminated me therefore no fee. I signed up 20 minutes later as a personal account and was back online within 4 hours. No discounts due to new account with old equipment. We have no choice, wireless evdo is the only high speed available on our farm. We bought an antenna, get full signal strength and regularly peak at advertised speeds. Great service, bad terms and limitations.
