Try downloading a huge file ( »ftp://ftp1.optonline.net/pub/test64 for example) while running NetPerSec or DUmeter or one of those type programs.

This way, you'll see a throughput graph while you're downloading, so you can tell whether your speeds start high, and decrease, or remain relatively steady.

I did a test at speakeasy ATL Server and got

Download Speed: 5279 kbps
Upload Speed: 2237 kbps

Speed tests... especially with powerboost are useless.

was just shocked when I was at 6mb tier I was lucky to get 3-4mb, but now sitting at 7-13 awsome.

as long as its at least 6mb I am happy

I used to work for Cox, *cough* so I know I am not guranteed 8mb but eh I did learn a few tricks lol

As far as I am aware there is no bursting on the upload. I get 25Mbps or so down with boost but the upload remains the same. How are you getting that much upload?

the highest download speed ive gotten was around 6.3mb, upload 360k

but, when downloading in firefox, i have noticed that the speeds start off at almost 1900k/s which is pretty good.

Can you upload say a large picture or something via HTTP or FTP? I want to see the speed not using a Speedtest. I have a feeling that the speedtest are displaying the upload incoreectly.

Do you have DU meter or something that will show the traffic?

I don't doubt the downlad speeds .. the upload is kinda high !!
