Bazillion - You Just Gotta Keep Pushing Them!

I signed with Bazillion on September 9, having just canceled DSL from US West. About 6 weeks later, Covad showed up, right on time, installed everything with no problems, but told me connection speed of high 300s s/b better given I'm only 5700' from the CO.
So I called Bazillion and left a message. A week later, no answer, so I called again. Got the 1st level customer rep who looked me up and said you're above the 128 guaranteed minimum, so call sales and downgrade your service. I told them no way - I'd had DSL before at higher speed from same location and the minimum might be OK if you're 15000' from the CO, but not from 5000'.
They gave me to a manager, who decided to transfer me from the Chicago b/h to one in Phoenix, which is really close to me. Said change would be the next day; he'd monitor it and call me.
When I logged in the next day my speed was now 150. I called back and was told it's above the minimum. I finally got to a level 2 tech who switched me back to Chicago, and my speed was now right around 500 - 580.
OK, this is good, I'm thinking. Then today, my connection is dropped. I called Bazillion, and after trying for 2 hours, I get someone who tells me they are in the process of transferring me BACK TO PHOENIX! No, I plead, leave me where I am - I'm not going to do any better than high 500s.
So she says she'll make a note to COVAD not to change me.

PUSH, PUSH, PUSH.

Don't just accept their (easy) way out and explanations.

So far, so good.
