| tdma sucks well, tdma really does just suck. analog is still the ONLY thing available in many areas of the country. its signal travels farther, and is less prone (in my experience) to just up and drop a call unless you have very low signal.
There's no way analog towers are going to just die out, but Cingular could offer these people a gsm phone if that's what they're using. Somehow I doubt 4.7 million people on their network use analog exclusively, it's likely tdma. If that's the case, Cingular truly should help their customers out and hook 'em up with a decent phone. |
