I would, ideally, like for them to do a "courtesy" registration, just so I could keep some kind of stats... I don't mind sharing because "sharing is caring", but I would like to protect myself at the same time...
I have Verizon DSL, with a Wirespeed 327 Modem/Wireless Router. I currently have the wireless disabled.
Down is 3Mb/s, up is 768kb/s, so I think FTP might be out as well... I'm quite well protected by firewall and anti-virus, and I know how to mitigate any network hazards, so I'm not too worried about that; not that I would reject out-of-hand any advice in that arena... 
I'm not stingy... So shoot me.  I guess I'm going the opposite direction of the guy in the article.

theres stuff on linksys wireless routers to do that but you can easly keep them off your netowrk by turning on AP Isolation then you can use QoS stuff to limit the speeds |

Fullerton, CA | On second recollection, I have a Microsoft MN-500 wireless router. I'll have to look up the instructions, but I think I can add that to the Wirespeed router as an AP. Maybe I can do this after all...

So, in the interest of keeping the R.F. spectrum clear, I have decided to take it down...
I guess my router/WLAN is okay, after all...
