Apparently the Security Center's built in defrag and quickclean are turned on by default.
Automatically scheduled tasks for QuickClean and Disk Defragmenter are the features given with this release.
If you do not want to have these scheduled tasks, then please follow the steps given below to remove the default task schedulers.
To turn off the new features for scheduled tasks:
To Delete QuickClean default scheduled task: Launch McAfee SecurityCenter > Click on Maintain Computer(Basic Menu) > Go to 'Task Scheduler' > Click 'Start' button > Select 'McAfee QuickClean' under 'Select operation to schedule:' combo box > Select 'McQcTask' under 'Select an existing task' > Click 'Delete' > Click 'Yes'.
To Delete Defragmenter scheduled task: Launch McAfee SecurityCenter > Click on Maintain Computer(Basic Menu) > Go to 'Task Scheduler' > Click 'Start' button > Select 'Disk Defragmenter' under 'Select operation to schedule:' combo box > Select 'McDefragTask' under 'Select an existing task' > Click 'Delete' > Click 'Yes'. |
