| AOL Communicator not working! I just signed up for a free aol account and my AOL Communicator is not working right. When I click on customoze ticker nothing is in there. Also the screen savr is getting no info at all. |

| I think they're either limiting some of the features for the free portion or their system is just overwhelmed at the moment. I'm giving mine a month and if it doesn't clear up (features start to work), I'll give them a call and see what's up. I do know they have a $4.95 plan that will work with broadband, but waiting to see what they do with the free part first. |

Is communicator good? I liked their original plan a couple years ago where you could use it with any email service, but I don't even see them having this on their main download page anymore so it makes me think that is something they no longer support. I haven't used that in a couple years when it first came out. |

AFAIK, the AOL Communicator project is abandoned. You can still use the mail client-which is Thunderbird in drag-and also the messenger. If you go to keyword: open mail access, there are directions for setting up most 3rd party mail clients for imap access, free of charge.  |
