mathwhiz : The Haslett and Okemos channels are still there - at least in Meridian Township, I don't know if they are still in other areas where they were before. The online channel lineup does not list those channels for the Meridian Township lineup. We don't have the East Lansing channel any more, just the East Lansing schools - which is currently off the air it seems. Unless Comcast lied to us and we really don't get it. Part of what PEG (Public, Education, Government) channels are available in each area, is what the local cable authority bargains with the cable companies. I really like Meridian's Government TV channel - they do great work with the election coverage and more - in fact I got to be on it last night as an election worker. I'm famous! (or not)

With the latest increases in prices and the drop of channels, I actually dropped down to the most basic level of service, since I hardly watched any of the other channels on the standard cable, so it was a waste of my money. When I called to drop service, they did offer me $5 off a month - definitely not enough to get me to keep my level of service. Then they charged me $12 to change, even if it's against FCC regulations. Once I get my bill, I'll call and argue that.

It seems everyday Comcast does something else to aggravate me.

Rich

TrixR4Kids : I was saddened by the loss of the local school channels for Haslett and Okemos. Or are they still on in those areas?
Doesn't seem fair since East Lansing gets to keep theirs. And the City itself still gets two. They spend 90% of the time running old announcements, usually the same thing on both channels. It's a waste.

mathwhiz : I hope everyone in Lansing who has their OnDemand is enjoying it, because I'm helping pay for it. With all the rate increases every 8-10 months, it is always said it's for improvements in service, well since I never see these improvements, they are obviously taking my money and using it pay for services for others. I also lost 4 channels of service to make room for OnDemand.

Also, it's amazing that Comcast even knows what they are doing. They made a channel lineup change 3 weeks ago and their website still doesn't have it correct. They at least finally updated it, so it is closer to being correct, but it still isn't. I've spend so much time having to work with listing providers to get the right channel lineup, because of Comcast.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Those of us in Lansing now get to see what all the hub-bub is about. All I can say is AWESOME!
