I had a discussion on this (search around), and none of my computers can play it (not that they're the greatest ever, but not bad).  They're in my profile.  Try playing the .mov files in VLC.  Seems that VLC will play almost anything on just about any comp (Even HD).  <br><br>As for the Hardware acceleration, I also had a discussion on that.  It seems that the cards have a wealth of acceleration options, but the software to take advantage of the cards is practically non-existant.<br><br>I "download" the trailers in quicktime, save them, and then play them back in VLC.<br><br>Good luck,<br>Matt]]></description>

Also, how much swap file do you have set up?  <br><br>IF you are thinking about a better cpu, you might think about a dual core cpu. Newegg has a X2 4200+ for the 939 socket, priced at $181.<br><br>But I would first try doing some maint. and eliminate all other possibilities first.]]></description>

If you have a crappy videocard, you will probably have crappy framerates, regardless of what you are doing (i.e. quicktime, games, winamp, etc...). <br><br>Could you post the rest of your system specs?  It could also be a ram limitation too, how much ram do you have?]]></description>

How much more powerful CPU would I need to play them at the full 24 frames with no slow down or anything?<br><br>Would an Athlon X2 4200+ be any better?]]></description>
