Sincerely, don't trust the reseller for cpu/mobo compatibility. If you choose wrong, newegg and every other reseller will eat your restocking fee. --

SipSizzurpFo' ShizzlePremium join:2005-12-28 Houston, TX kudos:3 | It means that the advice you gave is very good, but did not answer my question specifically. I thought that there were only 4 or 5 boards that would run a conroe, but am confuzed at finding 159 "LGA 775 Socket T" boards for sale, and the Conroe states that it is an "LGA socket T 775 ". Hence my confusion and subsequent query for clarification as to Intel's socket nomenclature. Did they not count on some possible AMD converts that might find the same name meaning 2 different things a bit confusing, and subsequently, some drunk dude in Texas wanting to ask what is going on ? I would indeed do plenty of reading up on the MoBo's home page before buying. I was looking for a more general answer, but your answer is still well appreciated. That is what I meant by "Strike One". -- Mi ultima pinche Carta Blanca. Que triste ! |
