Re: Transition Discussion for Adelphia to Comcast customers I am in the Scranton, PA market which includes about a dozen towns and an attached area called the "back mountain" by the locals which is the Dallas, PA area.
It seems they are doing something strange by dividing up this area. The greater Scranton area is Comcast and the Dallas area is Time-Warner. The strange part is that the logistics seem to have been overlooked and there are no Time-Warner properties anywhere near here. |

They now plan on having us in Connecticut completely re branded as Comcast by November. She tells me that instead of getting new things here or there, as far as TV programming at least, we will have one huge channel realignment, and have all our new channels added then, making us look more like our surrounding Comcast systems quickly, rather than slow methodical change. This could happen anytime between re branding and Q1 of next year. That's exciting to hear and it sounds like they're on track with what you were first told. Thanks for the update!

 | Well, a little off. From what I was earlier told, we were to expect the re-branding earlier. Also, looks like they're putting all the eggs into one basket, instead of adding this here, and that there. Nothing is set in stone, only estimates, as she said. |

That said, I saw a Comcast pickup truck coming out of Wal-Mart in town (Ukiah) today with a bedload of what looked to be new receivers or modems, all still shrinkwrapped and on a pallet, woo hoo! Comcast trucks are also showing up in the parking lot of the Ukiah office. -- See the BOOMING railroads of today&tommorrow »www.gorail.org See HEAVY DUTY freight&passenger action@ the Galesburg, IL RailCam! »205.245.189.161:1100/ THE BEST way2travel- »www.amtrak.com »www.amtrakcalifornia.com |

Funny, but I have my own (MOTO SB5100 when I lived in a different state)! In fact, Adelphia completed digging the cable from the outside box to my home today.
I am supposed to be totally installed internally within 2 weeks and hooked up and ready to go.
Can't wait! |

Well, I got news that changes in NE might happen around November... That sounds about on par with what I'm told. At the very least, the plan is to have us re-branded as Comcast by sometime November. After that, I think big changes as far as cable TV lineups and HSI could happen any time between the re-brand and January. |

"Sorry
We appreciate your interest in setting up Comcast Cable services. It appears that you are in an area which is currently serviced by another cable company."
