But you'd better be 100% like minded as the other members or you'll quickly find yourself ostracized, pushed out and banned because you "dont fit in".

And there is allways some distributed computing outfit that has been working in the cure for cancer (or, some such) for the last 10 years with everyones "unused" computing cycles and internet access.

Of course, in reality, you really haven't the faintest clue about what that app on your computer is REALLY doing, other than it is allways running for someone elses benefit.

And you can see your name on their website and how you are beating everyone else by gaining more points than they are.

And, needless to say, a cure for whatever disease is never found. Really... Just exactly WHO is REALLY behind that group you are allowing to access your computer by running their app?

HOW MANY computers does it take to solve such problems? And, why cant they pay for their own computers?

Will we ever see anything from letting them use our computers for whatever they are really using them for?

Not likely. If they DO come up with a cure, they'yll get rich on your back and give you buttkiss in return.

Suddenly, they wont have a clue who you or any of the myriad others are, let alone give you any credit that might let you into their pockets in return.

There's no money in cures, (except the price of the cure itself, of course, after which you are cured and there is no more money) only in treating the symptoms endlessly, unending research and, giving the suckers hope.

That's why the national cancer foundation (among myriad others you know the names of well) has been "searching for a cure" forever, is allways "so close to finding a cure", yet never seems to find even a clue (sounds like the standard politician, doesn't it?). All the new ideas seem to be from independent researchers at university labs.

You'd think that, with all the money that has been given to CHARITABLE research orgainizations (who therefore, have a vested interest in NOT finding a cure, because once they do, the gravy train will be over)-never mind the rest, corporate and government-over the last 50 years-trillions of dollars-they would have come up with AT LEAST ONE cure to a major disease, wouldn't you? But they haven't. NOT ONE.

Any bets that this FACT is because they are mostly all searching for a cure based on drugs (which, of course, leads us right back to the profit motive), instead of researching the underlying CAUSE of the disease and ways to mitigate it?

Causes like all the CHEMICALS and compounds we are exposed to in our environment? Many of which, perhaps, are not dangerous by themselves, but how about when mixed together?

But hey, I'm sure the doctors, administrators, etc, thank you every day for paying their salaries, contributing to their 401 K's, mortgages and car payments on those SUV's....

Actually, if you have ever spent any time in the hospital, or, looked into this subject, you'll be utterly astonished at how CLUELESS (and lazy) most doctors (including so called "specialists") really are.

They are driven by statistics, what the drug companies feed them and how they were trained, errr...indoctrinated in medical school.

It's all about stopping by your room for 5 minutes, listening to your heart and lungs, not answering any of your questions unliss you INSIST (because you are stupid, they think, which is, sadly, in many cases true) and then tack $75 - $250 on your bill as soon as they get back to the office.

It's such a sweet scam. Even better than lawyers and that's saying a lot.

You know who the best overall doctors are for the most part? Those that were trained, errr...indoctrinated overseas. Why? Because they haven't had the ability to think outside the box knocked out of them like US doctors have and most will actually listen yo you and work with you without you having to get ugly and assert yourself.
