You can connect directly with the wireless. Its just a little harder to set up because you have to program in the wireless WEP key before the 2 will communicate. Just set up your wireless card on the 2wire network with your last 3 serial number digits and the encryption key in the brackets and you can connect to the 2wire.
There is no need to use ethernet if you dont have an ethernet port.

Once in the 2wire oyu can set it up by opening a browser and going to http://homeportal/setup
--
I have a plan so cunning you can pin a tail on it and call it a weasel!

Anyone who takes any of this seriously, deserves to!

Riss_Centaur : That is just a general instruction for most people setting up a desktop. You can connect to the 2wire wirelessly no problem.

Fire up your laptop and what ever software you use to configure your wireless card. Look at the networks available. One of them should read like: 2wirexxx where xxx is the last 3 digits of your 2Wire's serial number on the bottom label. Like 2wire385, etc.
Then you need to make sure your card is set to WEP encryption, and the encryption key is the number in the square brackets on the bottom label. Enter that number into the key field of your wireless setup program and that should be all you need to start talking to the 2Wire.

Original XP wireless setup FAQ here: »support.2wire.com/cgi-bin/twowir···0x&p_li=
-Riss
--
I have a plan so cunning you can pin a tail on it and call it a weasel!

Anyone who takes any of this seriously, deserves to!
