Re: Project Pronto and Alcatel 1000 I had the same problem with Pacbell telling me that my Alcatel 1000 modem would not work on the Pronto Remote Terminal. I asked them if there was a way to change my current hardware and they were telling me no that I have to buy a new modem.
Anyway the VPI/VCI settings were easy to change within like 5 min. Very simple fix. But you know they probably just want more people to buy their stupid newer modems.
