I don't agree with the federal government paying for residential high speed internet. Now, put it high schools, libraries, community centers, etc., that's fine...the COMMUNITY can use it in those places. High speed internet to the home is a luxury. The person that made the point about the feds giving someone Mercedes. It's not that different of an argument....unless your neighbors can drive it whenever they want.....heh heh.
