proof that pro sports is about money and controling how we see the game and not about the game itself as entertainment.

imo the FCC should make all this blackout shit illegal, if you are going to broadcast a game then you should have no right to say sorry(insert city here)since you live in the same town as the game you cant watch it on the TV come spend 300 bucks for a family and anotehr 150 for the food.

Very few NFL games are blacked out in their local cities. Because almost every regular season NFL game in every city is sold out before the season even starts.

Totally. Anyone who wants to watch football (or any other sport) being played as a sport (and not a business) will watch [non-BCS, non-big-time, non-big-money] college teams or, better yet, their local high school teams. Like, yeah, I wanna spend my money to help payoff multi-million dollar contracts to a bunch of divas...nuh-uh.

btw just dont use a C-Band dish and pull the game from out of market if you own a bar. the NFL sued a bar owner once for showing a game in his bar because the bar was in a blackout area but he used one of the big C-Band dishes to pull from out of market.

i just hope the NFL lost that lawsuit because they cant really say sorry you cant pull that from orbit(if its in the air its open game).

Unless its phoenix or some other city with a crap team. the only games we sell out in AZ is when a good VISITING TEAM like dallas comes to play here.

I've been watching Giants games for the past 10 years and can never recall a time when the game was blacked out. even in their worst seasons, games are never blacked out.
