| Utilities to test connectivity problems and speeds Hi,
I use this to ping www.cia.com and www.cybersuf.com
every 5 minutes
»www.hostalive.net/hostalive.html
I get the logfile to record a ping that is NOT successful.
If I'm around when I notice a disconnect, I change the ping time to every minute.
Even though they don't ask for it, I'm going to send it to 3web/cia every week. More often if they are down when I really want to use them - uh, as soon as they are back up.
No wait, I use CIA/3web dial-up to get through.
Now, if everyone did that, 3web/cia would get a message.
Could it happen? Nahhhh....

| I can tell you the 3web's speed is pathetic without using any fancy tests or software for past few weeks. This is an accelerated dial up speed I am experiencing disguised as their cable gold high speed broadband is a shame but the choice is back to Rogers or stick around and see what happens eventually. |
