Re: [DW7000] Signal Strength G11

I've been an 3 different transponders on G-11 since 2001.
They have always been near 70 here with 1410, the one I'm
on now seems the highest at 81. 1370 was always in the mid 70's

I was curious, because the lower your dish inclination, the more atmosphere your signal would have to punch through hence causing a weaker signal. Seems like northern Ohio and Southern Vermont are at almost the same latitude. If G11 is way west of VT compared to OH, then I would still have to punch through a lot more sky for my signal to hit the bird. I don't really know for sure. Perhaps your entire system is just better installed and aimed. Sounds like you have a good setup.

On 1050 we got 56 after the installer spent hours pointing it. He did say that he made tradeoffs to get a better upload as I had requested.

This morning in light rain it was down to 45. Still worked..I wonder though.
