more than one computer...

Hi.
I am living with two friends.(total 3 ppl)
Right now we are able to use internet using router.
Are we sharing one IP address???
Or
Are we getting separet IP for each computer??

If we are sharing one IP, should I call 3web and get additional IP?

thanks

it could be that 3web locked the MAC to whatever the computer/router you connected to your modem when you activated your service, at least this was my case I found out a couple days ago, rogers has no this restriction.

Please ignore my previous reply, I misunderstood your question.

I think you are sharing a single public IP from 3web, and your router assign private IPs to you and your friends.

Getting additional IP won't help the speed as long as you are sharing the same connection. Sharing a connection is likely to slow down the speed, but if 3WEB works as advertised of 6Mbps, 3 people should still get reasonable speed.
