Re: [Hockey] Are the Islanders for real? Holy crap, 15 year deal, for a goalie that still has to prove himself? You know, I thought they were nuts for signing that nutjob Yashin for 10 years, but at least he had some scoring talent, but this deal is just outrageous.
Oh well, I hope the Isles finish dead last and really feel it burn. Who the hell signs long term deals longer than 5 years in today's NHL?

They are still trapped by Yashin's deal and turn around and sign an even longer deal with someone who has yet to prove he's anything above a standard-issue NHL goalie.
Yashin for Chara, the draft pick that got Spezza and Bill Muckalt -- what a deal.....for the Sens!
