Re: "Turd Bird?"

The idea that some people consider these guys reputable news sources is laughable. Foolish individuals that confuse partisan commentary for news. I guess that explains why they're so wrong about things like the rule of law and such...

Prove that they aren't.

Which opinion shows on FOX do not specifically identify themselves as such?

Foolish individuals that confuse partisan commentary for news. Those would be the -viewers-, and as we can see, they're obviously easily duped. I rest my case.

Sean Hannity continues to "believe" Iraqi WMD were moved to Syria without any evidence, and despite the fact this never happened because there weren't any to move. This is an amusing one since he's been grasping at it for 3 years now. Of course, he never lets the facts get in his way when he's spouting off the daily talking point. Next?

I didn't realize you watched that too. My condolences.

Sean Hannity tells you that he hosts an opinion show (both on FOX News and on talk radio), he never once claims to be an unbiased journalist when he hosts these shows, nor does he claim that he is reporting any news. This isn't the same as making up evidence to prove that a news story that is or is not true.

On the other hand, let's say that Sean Hannity was hosting what is billed to be a news program, say, the Fox Evening News with Sean Hannity, and during said broadcast, Hannity presents some evidence which claims to prove the allegations you state in your original post. The evidence later proves to be completely fabricated but Hannity continues to claim the story is true anyway. This would be an example of the sort of lie that I am looking for.

I don't, I just based my original assertion that The View was on another channel based on the fact that it does not appear in the FOX News programming schedule

You were the one wanting evidence these guys are not reputable news sources, which I have easily provided. I didn't say these talking heads claim their news people either (though I believe each one has from time to time referred to themselves as journalists *cough*). I have clearly indicated twice that it's the viewers that have a "problem" separating opinion from real news. This in of itself isn't news however.

Oh. An irrelevant comment.

You provided nothing. Your quibble was with an opinion piece presented on an opinion program. If you actually watched Hannity and Colmes you would know that the hosts of this program make it very clear that this is an opinion program and not a news program.

If you are indeed watching Hannity and Colmes, then you're personifying this problem.

Uh no. You wanted proof these people are not reputable news sources. Hannity's continued use of invalidated "information" with this and other issues simply proves he has no reputation to stand on when it comes to the truth. This applies to people like O'reilly as well. You are simply moving the goal posts after the criteria has been met because you didn't like the answer, as per usual. Your continued insistance that they host opinion shows when no one in this discussion has said otherwise could be seen as an attempt to misrepresent what's being said.

I have clearly indicated twice that it's the viewers that have a "problem" separating opinion from real news.

Uh, no. The problem is, once again, the viewers that believe commentary is somehow real news. Since that is not what I believe, one would logically conclude I'm talking about someone else.
