The only reason the marketing departments are not downsized, it that they generate revenues. People don't always care enough to do the math or a simple research.
Just last week a local ISP advertised a 3 year contract that included a NEW DELL desktop or laptop. After spending less then 10 minutes on the DELL website and using my grade 5 math skills, I figured out I can get a better deal by purchasing directly from DELL, without a 3 year contract with an over priced ISP.
I bet they are still making a killing with that promotion! |
