Stick-on Wall Print? How? Where?

NoelC : The other day at the veterinarian I noticed a big colorful poster ad on the wall. Having a few moments to spare I looked a little closer at it.

It was about 20 x 30 inches, had great contrast, detail, and color, and was stuck on the wall with something along the lines of Post-It glue backing. The image seemed to be printed deeply in the material - or perhaps it had some kind of laminate over it. The surface was not shiny, more like matte, and there didn't appear to be any seperable layers. The thickness of the whole thing was about that of card stock, though it was stiffer. It kind of reminded me a bit of those 3D prints you sometimes see, but it wasn't that complex and it was a bit thinner.

What made it interesting is that I could peel it off the wall with no damage, and stick it back on, probably a whole bunch of times.

I figure this particular poster was probably printed at a corporate print shop, but I was wondering if anyone here knows what kind of print this could be, and whether such a thing can be ordered by mere mortals?

Thanks in advance for any info you might have.

-Noel
