If nothing comes up, and still in SAFE MODE, go to My Computer>Right Click on C:>Properties>Tools>Error Checking, click on Check Now and check both boxes and push start, then Reboot.<br><br>Try that.]]></description>

<title>Hangs on start up</title>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/766291"><b>Ben Fica</b></A> : I have a Toshiba Satellite.  A couple of days ago, when I start up it hangs and the mouse (USB external) is able to open icons on the desktop but hangs over the Taskbar at the bottom. I am unable to open Start.  <br><br>What I do is open the Ctrl/Alt/Del box and end session for the User (which is only me anyway).  Then I go back in without an trouble; until I shut down and try to rstart.<br><br>Any ideas?<br><br>I have XP Home Media Center; McAfee (and had Windows Defender, but uninstalled it as I thought that might be the problem)<br><br>qim]]></description>
