pevans36 : Got an Optimum Online Boost account in order to make a website I'm developing available to various people for testing and feedback.

I have been struggling on an off over the last week and a half to make the site available, that is, allow incoming access to port 80 on the server, ... so far without success.

Configuration is IIS running on XP Pro, Belkin Pre-N router, Motorola 5120 modem. All firewall software has been disabled during tests.

The router has been configured to forward port 80 to port 80 on the IIS server. Cablevision tech support tells me that port 80 is open.

[As an aside, the controls to configure port 80 or DDNS that are supposed to be on the Boost control panel page do not appear. Tested this with the router in the loop and with the server plugged directly into the modem and got the same result.

Nmap run from a machine on the home network reports that port 80 is open.

I've spent a total of about 3 hours on the phone with Optimum tech support and another hour with the Belkin people, not to mention numerous web searches.

Anything I've forgotten? Any ideas on what to try next?

Help would be deeply appreciated.
