What's the Big Deal?

I just run a cable from my video card t.v. out and a cable from my sound card to my t.v. and watch movies all I want, so what's the big deal?

the whole idea is to get rid of the cables. I imagine it would be a pain if your computer was upstairs and your TV downstairs.

Also, for HD, I would imagine long HDMI cables are expensive.

I see your point, I don't want to see cables either.

Exactly. That's the situation I have now. My computer is upstairs, but we watch TV downstairs. I would love to use my upstairs computer as a media server, but I don't want to run cables through my walls. I would love it if I could stream the videos over my wireless connection from my computer upstairs to my TV downstairs.

For ANY type of cable. www.monoprice.com is your friend. Do NOT buy ANY normal length HDMI cable for MORE than 10 bucks.

Well, I already have a wireless network set up. So a device that could automatically connect to the network and load the videos on my computer upstairs would be really nice.

After some searching, I did actually find something:

Interesting, but unlikely that I would convince my wife that I need to spend $160 on it.

Awesome..Thanks for that website. I can't believe how cheap the prices are.
